The power of twin humbuckers.....not exactly a traditional Strat. Dave is a great guitar player, but certainly not one of the greatest.

They usually don’t do solos. I wonder if Adrian was having an issue with his rig and they just said “Dave keep the crowd entertained for 10 minutes or so”

Dave is the GOAT

I agree with all the comment. And I just wanted mine. There are literally thousands of excellent guitarists in the world and a lot of them are better than Dave. But technical knowledge isn't everything. Murray, Blackmore, Hackett, Lifeson and others made their guitars sing and otherwise influenced others in their unique style. That's what makes them unique and different.

Saddening and optimistic

Nicko probably had to take a dump or something and just said "DAVE.. give me 4 minutes" because he never does this

Dave Murray makes everything look so easy. This is actually VERY rare in that with 11 Maiden shows to my name neither he or Smith have done a solo. Now I have heard/seen Nicko do a few but never the guitarists and both are exceptional. The two have been playing together since their early teens. In fact Murray sold Smith his first guitar. Smith had said that he sold it for A LOT more later

How come people don’t see just how godly he is on the guitar? I prefer his works over Smith’s who is often called the greatest. Janick also doesn’t get enough credit but that’s because he’s known for his antics but he still isn’t as good as Murray!

People never seem to talk about Dave as a player, but here is just casually blowing 95% of other acclaimed guitarists out of the water.

Sorry, but while I love the guy, his soloing here is mid at best. No structure or flow at all. Cuts and pieces sloppily strung together with no cohesion

Dave Murray is the guitarist I love the most, he inspired me to play guitar. Many prefer Adrian, but I'm addicted to his trademark legato style and the atmospheric touch he manages to create. His few compositions are special. His solo on Fear Of The Dark studio version is the apex imho, but at the end of the day, it is only a matter of taste when we compare top musicians :)
